Eurodram, the European network for theatre translation, invites you to submit contemporary original plays to be evaluated by the network’s language committees.
For 2026, each Eurodram committee will select three original contemporary plays, to be recommended for translation.
Rules:
- Original contemporary European stage plays originally written in languages from the wider European area (Europe, Central Asia and the Mediterranean Area) may be submitted to the committees for consideration.
- Languages available in 2025 / 2026 are Albanian, Azeri, Arabic, Armenian, Belarussian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Czech, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Kazakh, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Kurdish, Macedonian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Turkish and Ukrainian.
- Plays written in languages originating in Europe which have evolved in their own form (for example, US English or Latin American Spanish), unfortunately, cannot be accepted. Place of residence and nationality of the playwright / translator are not taken into account.
- Scripts must be submitted by playwrights or their agent.
- Entries must be submitted according to the submission guidelines, which may differ from committee to committee. Please check http://eurodram.org/calls
- The deadline for submissions is 21 December 2025 unless stated otherwise by the respective committee.
- The results from all committees will be published on 21 March 2026 on the Eurodram website http://eurodram.org/selections

Eurodram is a European network for drama in translation, comprising about 300 members organised in about 30 committees. Its main objective is to promote new drama in translation from Europe, Central Asia and the Mediterranean, making it available both to theatre professionals and audiences in the region, in a spirit of independence, equity and linguistic diversity.
